So I’ve decided that I’ve got too much fat. I’m 5’7″, 158 pounds. That’s not really overweight, but my problem is that I can’t see my abs. So, I’m going to go on a diet to lean up by the summer. Here’s the plan.
I supposedly burn well over 2,000 calories per day, but I don’t think I ever eat that much. I’ve settled on a max of 1,800 calories per day. I’m splitting it up to: fat 15%-25%, carbs 40%-50%, and protein 35%. I think that’s a little more protein than I need since I’m not lifting real heavy, so I may want to up my carbs. I’ll try this for a week and see how it goes.
The two keys I’m really going to focus on is eating the right fats and the right carbs, and avoiding the huge meals. I’m going to closely watch my saturated fat intake, and try to only eat low-glycemic carbs such as fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. I’m also going to eat at least 5 meals per day, and avoid eating large meals. My goal is to get down to 150 by the end of the month.
